{"id":3327,"date":"2023-02-16T19:26:51","date_gmt":"2023-02-16T18:26:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iuc-aphp-sorbonneuniversite.com\/formation\/procreation-and-cancer\/"},"modified":"2023-02-16T19:26:51","modified_gmt":"2023-02-16T18:26:51","slug":"procreation-and-cancer","status":"publish","type":"formation","link":"https:\/\/iuc-aphp-sorbonneuniversite.com\/en\/formation\/procreation-and-cancer\/","title":{"rendered":"Procreation and cancer"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>OBJECTIVES<\/h2>\n<p>The general objective of this DU is to provide training, by recognized experts, to acquire and optimize the knowledge necessary for the management of fertility in cancer patients.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Business Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Know the effects of therapeutics and cancer on gonadal function.<\/li>\n<li>To know the techniques of fertility preservation and restoration and their limits in order to adapt the techniques of fertility preservation to the risk of gonadal toxicity.<\/li>\n<li>Have knowledge of what to do in the event of cancer in a pregnant woman.<\/li>\n<li>Know all the links and aspects of fertility and gonadal function, before, during and after cancer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>TARGET AUDIENCE AND PREREQUISITES<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>This diploma is open to doctors, pharmacists and scientists specializing in Biology and Reproductive Medicine, as well as to students (interns, heads of clinics, etc.) from the various training courses in this field (DES in medical biology, obstetrics, medical gynecology, endocrinology, etc.). This diploma is also open to oncologists and hematologists wishing to approach this very specific field of their activity.<\/li>\n<li>It will also be open to hematopoietic stem cell transplant nurse coordinators, laboratory technicians, psychologists and any health professional with an interest in this topic (general practitioners, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>In addition, in order to meet the training obligations of liberal and salaried health professionals, the Continuing Medical Education Department, an organization approved by the National Agency for CPD, is offering 6 CPD sessions in &#8220;Procreation and Cancer&#8221;. For more information on the CPD programs being created and the schedule,<br \/>\ncontact Denis GAUDIN <a href=\"mailto:denis.gaudin@sorbonne-universite.fr\">denis.gaudin@sorbonne-universite.fr<\/a><\/li>\n<li>or visit the website<a class=\"wpel-icon-right\" href=\"https:\/\/dpc.sorbonne-universite.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"> https:\/\/dpc.sorbonne-universite.fr\/<\/a><a class=\"wpel-icon-right\" href=\"https:\/\/dpc.sorbonne-universite.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><i class=\"wpel-icon dashicons-before dashicons-external\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>PROGRAM<\/h2>\n<p><strong>70 hours of theoretical teaching, spread over 2 weeks in class:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Module 1, General<\/strong> (36 h):\n<ul>\n<li>Cancer biology and gonadal function,<\/li>\n<li>Cancer treatments,<\/li>\n<li>Preservation and restoration of female fertility,<\/li>\n<li>Preservation and restoration of male fertility,<\/li>\n<li>Regulation of fertility preservation and other parenting methods.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Module 2<\/strong>: Women, cancer, fertility, fertility preservation and pregnancy (15 h)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Module 3<\/strong>: Fertility preservation for children and adolescents (7 hrs).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Module 4<\/strong>: Hematological pathologies, fertility and fertility preservation (7 h)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Oral presentation of the memoirs to all the trainees<\/strong>: feedback and knowledge sharing (5 h)<\/li>\n<li><strong>6 hrs of practical training<\/strong>:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Attend two fertility preservation consultations with a training officer at H\u00f4pital Saint-Louis (2 half days).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>24 hours of personal work<\/strong> for a thesis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fc.sorbonne-universite.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/PREProgramme-DU-procreation-et-cancer-22-23.pdf\">Download the 2022-2023 program<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"nav-pedagogie\" class=\"tab-pane fade d-block active show\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"nav-pedagogie-tab\">\n<h2>METHODS<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Duration of the training:<\/strong> 100 h, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>70 hours of classroom instruction, organized over two weeks,<\/li>\n<li>24 hours of personal work for a thesis,<\/li>\n<li>6 hours of practical training (fertility preservation consultation).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>* The theoretical exam and the oral presentation of the thesis will take place in June.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Number of employees between<\/strong>: 8 and 12<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF KNOWLEDGE CONTROL<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>A 2-hour written exam evaluating the knowledge acquired during the theoretical course. (Coef 2, mark out of 20),<\/li>\n<li>Writing a thesis on a topic related to the theme, either on a feedback from the consultations they attended, or a bibliography on a specific theme important for their future practice.
