Objectives
To acquire in one year a general training in clinical oncology addressing all aspects of biology, diagnosis and treatment of cancers (access to the recommendations of good clinical practices).

Program
- Diagnostic and assessment examinations: anatomopathology, imaging, markers.
- Basics of treatment: surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormone therapy.
- Therapeutic trials in oncology.
- Targeted molecular therapies.
- Strategies in oncology.
- The different cancer locations.
- The fundamental bases of carcinogenesis and molecular biology (fundamental bases of targeted therapies).
- National and international good practice recommendations (good use guidelines).
- Knowledge evaluation exam on the first and last day of the D.U. (pre and post-test).
Methods
Organized in the form of teaching modules.
Theoretical teaching in the form of lectures, (77 h) seminars and round tables on Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (1 time/month)
For all the modules, it is necessary to complete a 40-hour internship in a validating cancerology.
Methods of control of knowledge
One session per year.
- Admission to the theoretical and clinical tests is subject to the assessment of the responsible department heads at the end of each training period.
- The theoretical and clinical tests include a written test and an oral test (in the form of clinical cases).
- An average of 10/20 is required.
- Written and oral exam in June.
