OBJECTIVES
- To improve the care of the patients by the realization of adapted aesthetic cares, focused on the appearance of the person, with the aim of revalorizing the “self-esteem”, as well as the “self-image” and to support their integration in the environment.
- To allow beauticians with a state diploma in aesthetics to have a complementary and additional training in aesthetics, with the necessary tools to take care of fragile people who are in the medical and/or social sectors.
- To better understand the relationship with sick, aging, disabled and suffering bodies.
TARGET AUDIENCE AND PREREQUISITES
- Certified estheticians with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Graduate beauticians with professional experience in the care of dependent persons (life auxiliary, care assistant or others).
PROGRAM
- Theoretical courses: Legislation, deontology, geriatrics, psychology, dermatology, oncology, palliative care, neurology, cosmetology, gynecology, hygiene in the medical environment, medico-social work, the UHSI, “knowing how to be”, socio-aesthetician in the medical environment.
- Development of a professional project.
- Writing of an internship report.
- Practical training in geriatrics, oncology, palliative care, neurology.
METHODS
351 h in the same academic year:
- 176 hours of theoretical courses divided into 2 days per month (except December 4 days)
- 175 hours of internships (in geriatrics, oncology, palliative care, neurology)
Courses: 2 consecutive days per month from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (Monday – Tuesday) (except December 4 days: 2 x 2 consecutive days)
Internships: 2 X one week internships supervised by socio-aestheticians working in hospitals from January to February, then 3 weeks of free internships (between February and the end of April).
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF KNOWLEDGE CONTROL
- Written exam : 3 h 00 (coefficient 1, mark on 20)
- Written internship report (coefficient 1, score out of 20)
- Oral exam: defense of the internship report (coefficient 1, score out of 20)
Condition of admission: attendance at classes (any absence must be justified).
Internships: All internships must be validated.
Passing the exam: overall average ≥10.
